The Eremu are Waiwai magic songs of which there are two categories, one sung by members of the community. The other category of eremu, such as this example, is performed only by the village leader or yaskomo. The yaskomo magic song is accompanied with blowing of tobacco over a nukwa or magic (quartz) stone. The village leader and chief informant was Ewka, photo attached.
